Ring Road to ease Howrah traffic
Posted By : Pioneer Property Management Limited

The nearly completed 12 Kms Ring Road will act as a positive catalyst for neutralizing traffic congestion in the industrial town of Howrah. The flyover that will connect the east-west bypass with Howrah station will be completed in the next phase. The Ring Road will initiate from Howrah station and will touch several points like Rishi Bankim Bridge, Rishi Bankim Road, Kartik Chandra Dutta Road, Foreshore Road and Kona Expressway-Benepole crossing. It will not only solve the traffic probem in Howrah but will also ensure a smooth passage for vehicles to and from Kolkata. Funds for the Rs. 95 crores will not be a problem and the initiation of the second phase will start soon. The Ring Road will help in diverting traffic as it is connectec with major junctions and crossing across the town. There are openings at major links like Mukharam Kanoria Road that leads to north Howrah, at G.T. Road, Kona Expressway and Andul Road. These are all very important links and these roads will be inter-connected once the ring road is open to the public.
